What can AI agents do without asking?

There is no universal answer: an agent’s abilities depend on its tools, connected accounts, and the permissions those services enforce. Reading a page and sending an email are different actions.

Review each connection and enable only what your task needs. Be specific about recipients, costs, and changes. Ask for drafts when you want to take the final action yourself.

A prompt saying “ask first” expresses a preference. It is not a technical access control. BotPermission’s checkup cannot enforce rules inside normal ChatGPT chats. Product features change; consult the provider’s current guidance.
